I just bought the XLS 9. Just picked one up and love it.
After that, I was sold. This is silly straight I have an XL Driver, What I found right away was mostly straight balls with a high, driving flight that carried forever. It just feels like this head could fall apart at any second for me.
I used to be able to break but it will take more practice and better clubs. Hiborw too ignorant from a tech standpoint to convey exactly what the contributing factors might be; however, I have never, NEVER been able to drive the ball anywhere close to the distance I’m getting from this club.

But mph is a strong enough clubhead speed to make use of the red shaft IMHO. This HiBore is deadly, I missed only one fairway and still managed to parr the hole. I have seem to have lost some distance. It works, though, with this club. Perhaps the Rd helped too, but I finally broke and am extremely pleased with the XL.
